Game Boy Color Battery Indicator

Tired of unexpectedly losing your game progress when your batteries die? This mod replaces the Game Boy Color's OEM power LED with a two stage battery indicator so you'll always know when it's time to save your game!

Features:
- Power LED changes color when batteries are near depleted
- Tuned for use with LiPo cells and popular NiMH rechargeable batteries, e.g. IKEA LADDA, Eneloop, etc
- Battery indicator can be switched between NiMH and LiPo mode using switch on back. Stripe on switch corresponds to NiMH mode.
- Compatible with OEM and aftermarket screens(see compatibility table in gallery)
- Low power consumption: ~6mA at 2.4V
- Simple installation, only 3 points to solder

Notes:
- Latest version uses a wireless installation. Solder VCC pad on top edge to the aligned via on the GBC motherboard. The tip of a craft knife can be gently twirled in the via to make it more receptive to soldering.
- It is highly recommended that you clean the inside of your power switch before installing this mod to avoid flickering near the threshold voltage
- Low battery warning time will vary with battery brand, capacity, age, etc. See testing table in gallery
- Verified to work correctly with OEM DC regulator and Frogulator. Aftermarket regulators will work, but may exhibit slight behavioral differences, e.g. options from Helder and Retro6
